Rice - India's most exported agricultural commodity
India accounts for over 40% of global rice exports. Globemiles operates at the heart of this market with a dual-strategy portfolio: premium aromatic Basmati for the Middle East and European fine-dining sectors, and high-volume Non-Basmati staples for Africa and Southeast Asia’s food security markets.
All our rice is sourced from India’s premier growing belts — Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, and the Vidarbha region — milled in our processing facilities, and aged where applicable to enhance grain strength and aroma.
White Sella
Parboiled and dried before milling; firmer grain, longer shelf life
Golden Sella
Parboiled at higher temperature; golden hue, extra-firm grain
Steam
Steamed under pressure; enhanced aroma, closest to raw grain texture
Premium Basmati
1121 Basmati — The King of Basmati
When buyers in the Middle East specify Basmati for a luxury hotel banquet or a premium retail shelf, 1121 is almost always what they mean. Its grain elongates to over twice its raw length upon cooking — slender, non-sticky, intensely aromatic. Aged 12–24 months post-harvest for deeper aroma and stronger grain.
